Arlington, VA – August 5, 2024 – The U.S. Agricultural Export Development Council (USAEDC) is thrilled that our members are eligible to receive another $300 million under the Regional Agriculture Promotion Program (RAPP), bringing the total funding allocated to $600 million. This $1.2 billion program from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will provide support for US farmers and producers to expand their market opportunities around the world, now including marketing and market access in Europe.

The second tranche of RAPP funding is being allocated soon after USAEDC’s annual Attaché Seminar, which convened hundreds of global strategy meetings aimed at building U.S. agriculture exports.

“Access to international markets supports U.S. farmers at home and food security throughout the world,” Deputy Secretary Torres Small said in the USDA’s announcement of the new funds. She said that USDA launched RAPP “to create more, new and better markets for U.S. producers and agribusinesses” and “given the importance of exports in supporting farm income and rural economic development, we’re delighted to be able to make an additional $300 million available this year.”

Eligible organizations should apply by October 4, 2024 for funding.
