Retailers targeted by the Potatoes USA’s international retail marketing program conducted 95 promotions last year that increased U.S. table-stock potato sales by at least 75%. Thanks to this program, the past year saw more importers and retail outlets carrying and promoting a wider variety of U.S. fresh potatoes than past years. Together with retail promotions, a range of activities helped build demand for U.S. potatoes in this sector, notably, newsletters, websites, trade visits, merchandiser store visits, Best-in-Class tests, retail seminars and instore or online training.
