From exotic items to familiar everyday local foods, U.S. potatoes popped up in a wide range of products last year, including potato tofu, potato crackers, curry puffs, potato salad, pot stickers, cookies, hamburger buns, donuts, baguettes, cream cheese, fish cakes and more. Potato USA’s international ingredient program promoted the use of U.S. dehydrated, frozen and fresh U.S. potatoes as a great all-around starting point for foodservice dishes, deli products, ready-toeat meals, snacks, baked goods, and others– capturing new product launches in most market sectors.
